A small dock on the pond directly in front of our condo.  Mostly used by geese, so not for sunbathing.

This photo was taken from our deck in early spring.  Osprey nesting box and pond.

Boardwalk through wetlands.  Part of the extensive walking trails.

Outdoor year round salt water pool at the fitness club.  Extra entrance fee required.  To find out more and to purchase passes, call 208.263.5493

The Living Area

Our living room is spacious and comfortable.  A mini library provides over 100 books for children to adults.  I'm especially fond of mysteries and YA, so you'll find lots there.  You are welcome to take any book you like if you don't finish it by the end of your stay

We have a nice television with cable but we do not have any of the extra channels such as HBO or Showtime.

A DVD library is available with over 50 DVDs ranging from Twilight Zone episodes, old westerns, children's animated movies and Academy Award winners.  You may also rent videos from the local Super One grocery store.

Our garage is the second from the left.  Garbage pickup is every Friday.

The Kitchen

Our condo is fully furnished, which means it comes with all the pots, pans, dishes, and eating utensils you'll hopefully need.

This includes:
toaster
drip coffee maker
griddle
waffle maker
ice maker
microwave
cookie sheets
mixing bowls
dish towels
spices
sugar (white)
coffee filters
plastic wrap
tin foil
paper towels
paper napkins
dish soap
dishwashing detergent (tablets)
dog dishes
broom/dust pan
mop
Swiffer and wet Swiffer towelettes
laundry soap/stain remover
beach towels (four)

Dover Bay Summer 2014

A warmer than usual May and June's rains brought an early summer to Dover.  Not many changes to the community--a few new houses, bungalows, and a tennis court at the marina.

However, one amazing addition are a few open and private beaches to the west of Dover Bay beach.  To find them head to the city beach but keep walking along the trail.  Cross the bridge but turn left before crossing the wooden raised walking platform through the wetlands.  You'll find three cleared small beaches.  These are not on private property and they are nicer than the city beach.  See my son and our dog Lu sitting on one in the photo below and to the right.  The photo above shows the trees that block these beaches from the trail.

The Dish is open and popular as ever with its outside patio dining along the river.

The Lake Club Fitness Center is open for extended hours.
